Charming Hotel, Lovely Location, Surprisingly Quiet
Stayed here on the recommendation of a friend for a business trip at the beginning of June 2010. This is a small boutique hotel a few blocks behind the Moulin Rouge. While that may not sound great to some, it is on a side street and is surprisingly quiet.
Very nearby is Rue de Abbesses which is lined with street cafes. Around the corner is Café des Deux Moulins where Amelie was filmed. A 10 minute walk up the hill through lovely cobblestoned side streets will take you to Sacre Coeur.
The rooms are not large but are very comfortable with a flat screen TV on the wall with many channel selections for a hotel. There was free WiFi which was a little spotty but it was free and worked well enough for what I needed. Breakfast is downstairs and was 13 Euros, convenient and pleasant. The room was spotless and well maintained with a comfortable bed, small desk with 2 chairs and 2 large windows that opened onto the street.
While it may not be in the heart of the tourist destinations, it is certainly close enough with a Metro stop 2 blocks away (Blanche) while still out of the way enough to enjoy a little Parisian nightlife.
I will certainly stay here again even when my work will book just about anything else in the city. Highly recommend you try this property.
One final note, one evening as I returned, the gentleman at reception stopped another guest and advised him he had 2 packages. The other guest was a bit confused. The hotel had purchased flowers and champagne (at their expense) for the guest to give to his girlfriend to surprise her. The other guest was shocked to say the least. To me that is service!

From Dublin
“Great hotel near to everything very French!”
Just back after a romantic few days with Hubby.I booked the Hotel so i was hoping it was everything we wanted .It was ,near to all the sights lots of nice bars and restaurants, but very quiet. The Receptionist was great ,had lots of things to recommend doing while we where there. It was very clean ,we didnt eat breakfast in hotel because there was so many restaurants nearby.
It was near the metro so it was great for getting to CDG airport. All in all a great Hotel not too expensive 300 euros for two for 2 nights in Paris ,cheaper for a smaller room
