It is a jewel of Catalan Modernism, decorated by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the same architect who planned the Lleó Morera house and the Palau de the Música Catalana Concert Hall.
The main areas are characterized by fireplaces, a Sicilian alter from the barroc period in the reception area, white leather sofas and chairs, enormous art works, large oversized flower vases placed all over the hotel. The colour scheme and dominant materials are black, white, gold, mingled with wood tones and white leather, glass is also ever present in evocative forms, with pieces dating from a variety of times periods and places in Europe and the East.However it is best to live the experience in person.
